Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
